Solar Installation Technician

<p><p><p><p><p><p><p><p><p><p><p><p><p><p><b>SOLAR INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN </b> </p><ul><li>Full-time $19.00 - $22.00/hour </li><li>This job is based out of our Raleigh, NC office with around 25% of time (at least 1 week out of the month) spent out of town in both NC and SC. </li><li>Opportunity to work at a mission-driven Certified <b>B Corp </b> committed to leading the change by using business as a force for good that was named <b>INC Best Place to Work and TBJ Best Place to Work </b> </li><li>Outstanding benefits package (health, vision, dental, short-term/long-term disability, and life insurance, matching 401(k), paid time off, holiday pay, paid training and professional development opportunities, paid time to volunteer, and more) </li> </ul><p><b>Southern Energy Management (SEM) </b> is seeking a full-time Solar Installation Technician to assist in the physical installation of residential solar roof and ground mounted arrays. </p><p><b>What You'll Do In This Job: </b> </p><ul><li>Carry modules up a ladder </li><li>Setting up/installing racking system on roof </li><li>Setting modules to racking </li><li>Running conduit in attics and crawlspaces </li><li>Pulling wire in conduit </li> </ul><p><b>Must Haves: </b> </p><ul><li>High school diploma is required </li><li>Minimum 3 years licensed driving experience (5+ preferred) </li><li>Driving record that meets our insurance criteria </li><li>Candidates with 3-5 years of licensed driving experience will be considered based on insurance approval </li><li>Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds up and down a ladder </li><li>OSHA 10 certification (required before starting) </li><li>Ability to work at high heights with the use of a safety harness, outdoors, in attics and crawlspaces in extreme conditions. </li><li>General construction knowledge and/or experience along with the ability to use hand tools (drills, saws, drivers). </li><li>Purchase a set of their own personal tools for work – list provided by SEM. </li><li>A four-year degree in a relevant electrical/renewable energy field is preferred, but not required. </li> </ul><p>We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
