Job description
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The Controls Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust production and business processes to ensure optimal equipment functionality, safety, throughput, and quality. This role focuses on enhancing equipment performance and reliability through proactive process improvements, preventive measures, and effective troubleshooting of automation systems. The Controls Specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support current production needs while driving continuous improvement initiatives for future projects.</span></p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Key Responsibilities:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Plan, implement, and sustain stable and capable production processes to maximize equipment functionality, safety, throughput, and quality.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to assembly automation, robotics, workstations, and automated equipment.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Diagnose and repair PLC controls, including electrical components, servo drives, motors, wiring, and control panels.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Modify and update PLC programs for Siemens, Fanuc, Allen-Bradley (PLC-5, SLC500, ControlLogix), and other automation platforms.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Document and maintain accurate records of program changes, prints, and electrical schematics.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Lead troubleshooting efforts to minimize equipment downtime, improve throughput, and address safety concerns.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Establish, maintain, and administer electrical control plans to support operational efficiency and compliance.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Actively participate in simultaneous engineering efforts for process improvements and new project launches.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate with maintenance teams, skilled trades, and business unit leaders to support production and continuous improvement initiatives</span></li>
