The variety of challenges will keep you growing and engaged. </li></ul>Position Specifics:<ul><li>Location: Charter Steel: 1658 Cold Springs Rd. Saukville, WI 53080</li><li>Shift: This position follows our 5-2-2-5 rotating night shift schedule. You’ll work five nights on, five nights off, two nights on, two nights off—giving you a great work-life balance with regular extended breaks.Shifts are 12 hours, starting at 4:30 PM and ending at 4:30 AM. It’s a consistent, predictable rotation that gives you built-in time off without using PTO.</li></ul>What you'll do: <ul><li>Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical systems to keep operations running smoothly</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and equipment calibrations to optimize performance and reliability</li><li>Work hands-on with hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and power transmission systems</li><li>Safely operate and maintain industrial tools and mobile equipment including cranes and forklifts</li><li>Partner with Electrical Maintenance Technicians to tackle cross-functional maintenance tasks</li><li>Always prioritize safety by strictly adhering to protocols such as lockout/tagout, fall protection, and confined space entry procedures</li></ul>What you will bring: <ul><li>High school diploma or GED (Don’t have one? We’ve got you covered with our free GEDWorks program.)</li><li>3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience</li><li>Machining and welding</li><li>Hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, and plumbing</li><li>Power transmission systems, including bearings, gearing, conveyors, fans, shaft alignment, sprockets, and coupling.</li><li> Experience with overhead crane troubleshooting and repair</li><li>Proficient in rigging and lifting procedures</li><li>Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers</li><li>A true team player with strong problem-solving abilities</li></ul>Nice to haves: <ul><li>Journeyman Certification or completion of a formal apprenticeship program</li><li>Hands-on experience with SMAW, MIG, and/or TIG welding</li><li>Previous work experience in the steel or heavy manufacturing industry</li><li>Fabrication skills and a basic understanding of electrical systems</li><li>Up-to-date safety certifications and a strong awareness of industry-standard safety practices</li></ul>Physical Demands & Work Environment:<ul><li>Regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 100lbs), and use of hand tools</li><li>Exposure to heat, cold, grease, and working at elevated heights.</li></ul>Ready to get to work?
