Our PCTU Cardiac Intermediate Unit specializes in caring for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, complex medical management, and a higher level of observation than a traditional acute care setting.</span></p><p data-start="446" data-end="788"> </p><p data-start="790" data-end="999"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Nurses on this team gain valuable experience supporting patients through both pre- and post-procedural cardiac care, while working in an environment that fosters collaboration, growth, and clinical excellence.</span></p><p data-start="470" data-end="1024"> </p><p data-start="470" data-end="1024"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">You’ll gain hands-on experience with:</span></p><p data-start="1079" data-end="1859"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Providing care for pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients, including pacemakers, ablations, TAVR, and other structural heart interventions</span><br data-start="1193" data-end="1196"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Monitoring and interpreting telemetry, recognizing early signs of clinical deterioration</span><br data-start="1286" data-end="1289"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Administering and titrating cardiac IV therapies such as heparin, antiarrhythmics, and other medications within intermediate care guidelines</span><br data-start="1520" data-end="1523"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Supporting recovery and stabilization for patients transitioning from higher-acuity units or preparing for discharge</span><br data-start="1641" data-end="1644"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Educating patients and families on procedures, medications, and long-term cardiac health </span></p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p> What We're Looking For: <ul style="direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; margin-top: 0in; margin-bottom: 0in;" type="disc"><li style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0; vertical-align: middle; color: #242424;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: calibri, sans-serif;"><span style="font-weight: bold; background: white;">Education</span><span style="background: white;">: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.</span></span><ul style="direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; margin-top: 0in; margin-bottom: 0in;" type="disc"><li style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0; vertical-align: middle; color: #242424;"><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; background: white;">Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
