Senior Construction ManagerThe Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC’s missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition, and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide. CNDS is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to support AFCEC’s mission. The Senior Construction Manager will perform a broad range technical review and advisory/assistance for AFCEC design and construction projects across the Air Force. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.Senior Construction Manager Responsibilities Include: <ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li style="background-color: white;">Provide a responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Perform a broad range technical review and advisory/assistance for AFCEC design and construction projects across the Air Force.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Perform project status updates, assessments, evaluations, analysis, reports, presentations, management-level project cost and schedule reviews, and other products for use in support of assigned enterprise design agent/construction agent(DA/CA) program workload that consist of Military Construction (MILCON) and Facility Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) services.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Will prepare and review of statements of work, cost estimates, submittals, and request for information.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Will be expected to participate in virtual and on-site design, contract acquisition, construction meetings, and on-site inspections as required.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul> Senior Construction Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: <ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li style="background-color: white;">A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or closely related field is required.</li><li style="background-color: white;">A minimum of 10 years of experience within the last 20 with Air Force or Department of Defense (DoD) performing facility and infrastructure military construction project management execution.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Knowledge of DoD design and construction policies and standards. </li><li style="background-color: white;">Working knowledge of military construction and renovation projects. </li><li style="background-color: white;">Excellent critical thinking, multi-tasking, and communication skills; both oral and written.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Must be a US citizen.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Must have a valid US passport.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Travel as needed may occur CONUS and OCONUS.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Strong understanding and working knowledge of Air Force Civil Engineer (AFCEC), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), or Naval Facilities Command (NAVFAC) policies, processes, and procedures as military Design and Construction Agent (DA/CA) at project level.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Familiarity with federal A/E design and construction.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Experience providing oversight of A/E design and construction.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Utilizing and applying computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Autodesk AutoCAD 2013, etc.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Read and understand CAD drawings, old blueprints, and facility/project specifications.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Must successfully pass a federal background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.</li><li style="background-color: white;">Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.</li></ul> Company Information:Cherokee Nation Defense Solutions (CNDS) is a part of Cherokee Federal – the division of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses.
