<b>Job Summary and Responsibilities </b> <br><p> As a Trauma Surgery Advanced Practice Provider at Creighton University Medical Center, you will be a part of the implementing a 24/7 Coverage Program for all Trauma in-patient, ER Consults, Floor Consults, <strong> Responding to Trauma Activations </strong> and Nursing support and hiring an Advanced Practice Provider to cover the night shift to work our 3x12 shift. </p><p> Every day you will round on hospitalized patients, providing critical care assessments in pre and post-operative surgery and hospitalized patients. </p><p> To be successful in this role, you will play an integral part of the Trauma Critical Care Unit Team, working with the attending physicians and other staff, providing necessary information for team-based care decision making. </p><p> This exceptional position is a <strong> Night Shift </strong> , joining another member to work either the weekend or weekday: </p><p> Additional Details of the Opportunity: </p><ul><li> Active Rounding </li><li> Preparing patients for discharge </li><li> Pulling Chest Tubes </li><li> Replacing Feeding Tubes </li><li> Checking on Vitals </li><li> Checking on Labs </li><li> Running interference for the attending Physician </li><li> Managing treatment plans </li> </ul><p> We are offering a comprehensive compensation structure as well as benefits including: CME, vacation, health, dental, vision, 401k, disability and malpractice with tail coverage. </p> <br><b>Job Requirements </b> <br><p> Required: </p><ul><li> Graduate of an accredited advanced practice training program (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) </li><li><p> Meet board eligibility or certification requirements </p> </li><li><p> Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska </p> </li><li><p> Strong clinical skills </p> </li><li><p> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and health-care professionals </p> </li><li><p> Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment </p> </li><li><p> Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and families </p> </li> </ul><br>Where You'll Work <br><p> <strong> Academic Health System </strong> </p><p> <strong> CHI Health </strong> is partnered with <strong> Creighton University School of Medicine, </strong> a reputable and prestigious medical school with strong Jesuit values in education, research and service.
