Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiovascular <p><strong>Summary: </strong> Join a leading healthcare facility in Redding, CA, a Level II Trauma Center that performs around 10-11 heart surgeries monthly. We are seeking Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioners with substantial experience in endovascular vein harvesting (EVH) to provide high-quality care in a dynamic surgical environment. Candidates must have recent cardiovascular surgery experience and be well-versed in assisting in a range of thoracic cases, alongside our skilled surgical team. </p> Job Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist in cardiovascular surgeries and other thoracic procedures. </li> <li>Perform endovascular vein harvesting (EVH) with expertise. </li> <li>Conduct daily rounds and write post-operative notes, often shared with surgeons. </li> <li>Manage patient follow-ups in clinic settings on designated days. </li> <li>Participate in night call duties as scheduled. </li> <li>Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care. </li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul> <li>Board Certification in Nurse Practitioner specialty. </li> <li>Active and unrestricted state nurse practitioner license. </li> <li>Experience with cardiovascular surgery and EVH procedures is mandatory. </li> <li>Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications. </li> <li>Demonstrated clean malpractice history. </li> <li>Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of the presentation. </li> </ul> License and Certification Requirements: <ul> <li>Board Certified Required </li> <li>Active State License Required </li> <li>ACLS, BLS, DEA Required </li> <li>Clean malpractice history Required </li> <li>Recent cardiovascular surgical assist experience & EVH experience Required </li> </ul><p><strong>Explore Redding, CA: </strong> Known for its stunning natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities, Redding is a vibrant and welcoming city.
