Licensed Practical Nurse - Triage | Pediatric Specialties - Neurology | Day Shift | Full-time

Overview: <p>The Licensed Practical Nurse will focus on providing high level patient-centered care in a physician office setting by measuring and recording vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, preparing patients for exams/procedures, assisting the health care provider with exams/procedures, providing patient support during exams, maintaining medical supply inventory, and stocking exam rooms. The LPN will also provide patient care by administering medications, processing patient phone calls per practice protocols, instructing patients regarding health care and treatments, and providing health care provider with information pertaining to patients' health status. May be required to float to other UFHP practices, as needed, for staffing.</p> Qualifications: <h2 data-section-id="l1xvot" data-start="68" data-end="118"><span style="font-size: 9pt;" role="text"><strong data-start="71" data-end="118">Minimum Education & Experience Requirements</strong></span></h2><ul data-start="119" data-end="508"><li style="font-size: 9pt;" data-section-id="1smxpjl" data-start="119" data-end="205"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) eligible to practice in the State of Florida.</span></li><li style="font-size: 9pt;" data-section-id="1q7vdh" data-start="206" data-end="273"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">One (1) year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred.</span></li><li style="font-size: 9pt;" data-section-id="11j2m61" data-start="274" data-end="367"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Demonstrated ability to multitask and take initiative in a fast-paced clinical environment.</span></li><li style="font-size: 9pt;" data-section-id="1ija18l" data-start="368" data-end="412"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Excellent patient/customer service skills.</span></li><li style="font-size: 9pt;" data-section-id="1i2qtll" data-start="413" data-end="450"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Strong verbal communication skills.</span></li><li style="font-size: 9pt;" data-section-id="np5s53" data-start="451" data-end="508"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Team-oriented with effective problem-solving abilities.</span></li></ul><h2 data-section-id="kxmbga" data-start="510" data-end="556"><span style="font-size: 9pt;" role="text"><strong data-start="513" data-end="556">Licensure, Certification & Registration</strong></span></h2><ul data-start="557" data-end="1085"><li style="font-size: 9pt;" data-section-id="1nk00ft" data-start="557" data-end="715"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or eligibility to practice in the State of Florida through the Florida Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).</span></li><li style="font-size: 9pt;" data-section-id="1ajz0eg" data-start="716" data-end="923"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross, or ability to obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment. </span><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification throughout employment.</span></li><li style="font-size: 9pt;" data-section-id="19xjyw3" data-start="993" data-end="1085"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Must successfully complete the required medication competency test within 30 days of hire.</span></li></ul><h2 data-section-id="hz3hbt" data-start="1087" data-end="1128"><span style="font-size: 9pt;" role="text"><strong data-start="1090" data-end="1128">Motor Vehicle Operator Designation</strong></span></h2><ul data-start="1129" data-end="1220"><li style="font-size: 9pt;" data-section-id="1j3bnu2" data-start="1129" data-end="1220"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">This position<strong> </strong>will not require operation of a vehicle for assigned business purposes.</span></li></ul>
