Growing together.Position Details:<ul><li>Location: 133 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215</li><li>Department: Radiology - MRI</li><li>Schedule: Full-time: Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM</li></ul> As a MRI Technologist you will Performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures to aid physicians in the diagnosis of disease. Demonstrates excellent patient/staff communication skills. Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lifts and positions patients, operates equipment, and administers contrast media</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of MRI safety</li><li>Completes/reviews patient history on every patient prior to study</li><li>Monitors patient's condition during procedure and notifies physician of abnormalities; assists with first aid and CPR as necessary</li><li>Demonstrates proper filming procedure and critiques films to ensure accuracy and clarity for physician interpretation; helps to maintain laser printer and automatic processor</li><li>Provides staff and patient protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards</li><li>Demonstrates proper infection control practices</li><li>Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work area; cleans CT and ancillary equipment</li><li>Assists with QA/QC activities</li><li>Demonstrates the ability to work well with physicians and administrative support staff at all levels</li><li>Transports/escorts patients to and from area</li><li>May instruct students and perform competency evaluation in CT and/or MRI</li><li>Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-services</li><li>Serves as a resource to support staff to assure appropriate booking of studies</li><li>Manages daily schedule to maximize thru-put</li><li>When requested, speaks with patients re: their concerns prior to study</li><li>Monitors inventory.
