<br /><b>PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT - ASSISTED LIVING</b><br /><br /><div> <p><em>Liberty Cares</em><br /> <i><em>With Compassion</em></i></p> <p><b>Liberty Senior Living</b> is currently seeking an experienced:</p> <p>We are currently seeking an experienced:</p> <p><b>PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT (PCA)</b></p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <ul> <li>Assists residents with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and ADL’s as needed during shift. </li> <li>Changes linen on beds with bath schedule and/or PRN. </li> <li>Takes and records vital signs per policy and/or as directed. </li> <li>Assist CNA’s with needed tasks. </li> <li>Turns residents while in bed per Facility policy. </li> <li>Repositions residents while out of bed per Facility policy. </li> <li>Assists with oral hygiene including denture care when getting up in the morning, after meals, at bedtime, and/or when needed. </li> <li>Answers call bells promptly following Facility policy. </li> <li>Completes patient care records at end of shift, including accurate I and O. </li> <li>At the end of month, fill in Patient Observation Records and Activity Attendance Records for the next month. </li> <li>Collects urine or stool specimens as directed. </li> <li>Gives enemas as directed. </li> <li>Keeps patient unit/halls clean and neat. </li> <li>Keeps bedside tables, chest of drawers, and closets clean, neat and organized. (Including clothing) </li> <li>Cares for and cleans nursing equipment. (BP equipment, thermometers, etc.) </li> <li>Follows restraint policy, including release. </li> <li>Assists with post-mortem care when needed. </li> <li>Assures residents have fresh ice water by refilling pitchers with ice and/or water at least once every shift. </li> <li>Cleans water pitchers, cups, bedpans, urinals per schedules. </li> <li>Rinses personal clothing, sheets, etc. if soiled before placing in appropriate laundry barrel. </li> <li>Assists residents with bedpan or urinal. </li> <li>Empties catheter bags at end of shift and records output on appropriate record. </li> <li>Assists with rehabilitation programs such as bowel and bladder retraining, grooming, etc. and always charting on Rehabilitation sheet every shift. </li> <li>Assists charge nurse with resident needs and treatments as directed. </li> <li>Keeps a clean towel and a clean washcloth for each patient in bathrooms as all times. (Replaces immediately when used.). </li> <li>Empties incontinent pad barrel and linen containers every shift and replaces plastic bags in containers. </li> <li>Reports at end of shift to oncoming CNA’s. </li> <li>Understands and agree to follow policy of no transfers until Certified. Agrees to obtain assistance from a CNA assigned to assist the Care assistant with tasks they are not comfortable or trained to perform and with ALL transfers.</li> </ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent. </li> <li>Must be a graduate of a NA1 training program. Must have passed the program and must pass state test within 4 months from completion. </li> <li>Must be willing to care for geriatric patients and have a genuine concern for their welfare. </li> <li>Must be willing to receive, understand, and follow orders. </li> <li>Must be willing to work and cooperate well with other nursing staff, other departments, and families and visitors. </li> <li>Must be kind and respectful to patients, staff, and visitors. </li> <li>Must be able to use equipment without jeopardizing the safety of self, others, or equipment and use supplies safely and economically. </li> <li>Wears approved colored dress uniform, or approved colored top and natural colored hose, white nonporous (leather) shoes and nametag. </li> <li>Demonstrates neat appearance and good personal hygiene. </li> <li>Must read, know, and follow personnel, department, and Facility policies and procedures. </li> <li>Must attend in service training and other staff meetings as required. </li> </ul> <p>Visit www.libertyseniorliving.com for more information.<br /> Background checks/drug-free workplace.<br /> EOE.</p> </div><br /><br /><br /><img src="https://www.click2apply.net/v/6a44baa0ab6a6f5392db9f9b" /><br /><br /><p>PI293666898e46-36205-40702354</p>
