Academic Rheumatologist

<p>The Department of Medicine at Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Academic Rheumatologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to join our Division of Rheumatology. This position offers the opportunity to practice the full scope of rheumatology in a collaborative, academically focused environment.</p><p><strong>Position details:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Outpatient rheumatology practice with a broad range of autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions</p></li><li><p>Inpatient consult service responsibilities</p></li><li><p>Participation in multidisciplinary clinics and care models</p></li><li><p>Exposure to complex and diverse rheumatologic diseases</p></li><li><p>Robust academic environment with opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows</p></li><li><p>Opportunities to develop or participate in clinical and/or translational research</p></li><li><p>Collaborative care model with APPs, nurses, and support staff</p></li></ul><p><strong>We are looking for candidates with the following:</strong></p><ul><li><p>MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated clinical expertise in rheumatologic disease management</p></li><li><p>Strong commitment to medical education and mentorship</p></li><li><p>Interest or experience in clinical research is highly desirable</p></li><li><p>Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level</p></li><li><p>Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State</p></li><li><p>Dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations</p></li></ul><p><strong>We offer a highly competitive benefits package, including:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Competitive base salary range $240,000-$270,000 based on rank and experience.
