Job description

An additional 1.5T Sola will be installed in January 2025.</p></li><li><p>Entire fleet of mammography systems (15 units) will be upgraded to Siemens B.Brilliant platform over next 4 years.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Case Mix and Collegial Workflow:<br>* Case mix of subspecialty as well as general radiology worklist assignments<br>* General radiology would include covering busy level-one trauma and accredited thrombectomy capable stroke center hospital including MSK/Neuro/Chest/Body imaging including CT/US/Radiographs<br>* Not Required: Mammography,, IR beyond arthrograms<br>* Collegial workflow including strongly encouraged and promoted consultations with other Radiologists through in-PACS image sharing and chat functions for difficult and unusual cases<br>Other Expectations:<br>* All Roanoke based Radiologists receive academic appointments at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine<br>* Light teaching requirements including medical students and non-Radiology residents<br>* Participation in tumor boards and practice quality improvement is expected<br>* Participation in research as a principal investigator is NOT required. There are no requirements for scholarly publications. If there is interest in Radiologist initiated research projects, we have support resources including a dedicated research coordinator to help with IRB, consents, patient enrollment, and image management.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>BC/BE fellowship trained breast imaging Radiologist</p>
