Job description
<p>The MetroHealth System is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician with expertise in Obstetrics to lead our Family Medicine Obstetrics (FMOB) team and oversee obstetrics in our residency program.</p><p><strong>Position Highlights:</strong></p><p>* Provide clinical oversight for the FMOB division.</p><p>* Collaborate with the Program Director to ensure OB training meets ACGME requirements.</p><ul><li><p>Serve as the FMOB liaison to the OB department.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with residency leadership, OB faculty, and clinical teams to enhance access, optimize processes, and drive performance improvement.</p></li><li><p>Uphold MetroHealth's mission, vision, and values in all aspects of care and education.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p>MD or DO with a non-restricted Ohio medical license.</p></li><li><p>Board-certified in Family Medicine (or eligible).</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 5 years post-residency or 4 years post-OB fellowship.</p></li><li><p>Strong skills in POCUS, obstetric clinic care, and teaching residents and medical students.</p></li><li><p>Ability to meet MetroHealth credentialing and privileging requirements.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead and mentor residents in obstetrics at one of our residency clinic sites.</p></li><li><p>Foster excellence in clinical care and education.</p></li><li><p>Drive quality improvement initiatives and support innovative care models.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Why MetroHealth?</strong></p><p>We offer:</p><ul><li><p>Competitive compensation and benefits.</p></li><li><p>Health insurance, paid time off, liability coverage.</p></li><li><p>Academic appointment at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (rank commensurate with experience).</p></li><li><p>CME opportunities and malpractice coverage.</p></li><li><p>Generous pension program through Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).</p></li></ul><p>As a primary care provider, you have many options-but few offer the opportunity to combine academic leadership, community impact, and professional growth in a system committed to service, teaching, discovery, and teamwork.
