<p><strong>Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon - Partnership Opportunity in Coastal Southern Maine</strong></p><p><strong>Southern Maine Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (SMOMS)</strong> is seeking a full-time Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our 50-year legacy of surgical excellence in the greater Portland, Maine community</p><p><strong>The Opportunity:</strong></p><p><em>This is a full-time, four-day-per-week associate position with a strong pathway toward partnership for the right surgeon. We are proud to be a surgeon-owned practice.</em></p><p>SMOMS is a busy, broad-scope OMFS office looking for a motivated, personable, and clinically excellent surgeon. The right candidate will have room to develop their clinical interests, build relationships, and help shape the future of our practice.</p><p><strong>The Candidate:</strong></p><p>Candidates should be:</p><ul><li><p>Board-certified or board-eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery</p></li><li><p>Eligible for dental and/or medical licensure in Maine, as applicable</p></li><li><p>Eligible for office-based anesthesia permitting</p></li><li><p>Clinically thoughtful, ethical, and patient-centered</p></li><li><p>Comfortable communicating with patients, families, referring doctors, and team members</p></li><li><p>Interested in contributing to a positive practice culture</p></li><li><p>Looking for a long-term professional home</p></li></ul><p>You're a perfect fit if you're comfortable with the full range of office-based oral and maxillofacial surgery, including:</p><ul><li><p>Third molars and dentoalveolar surgery</p></li><li><p>Dental implants and grafting</p></li><li><p>Office-based IV anesthesia</p></li><li><p>Pathology and biopsy procedures</p></li><li><p>Management of infections and urgent OMFS care</p></li></ul><p>Additional interests such as orthognathic surgery, trauma, reconstruction, TMJ, or advanced implant procedures would be welcomed, though not required.</p><p>New graduates, current residents, fellows, and experienced surgeons are all encouraged to apply.</p><p><strong>The Practice:</strong></p><p>Southern Maine Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a respected, surgeon-owned private practice.</p><p>We are committed to excellent surgical outcomes, safe anesthesia care, and strong relationships with the dental and medical communities we serve.</p><p>We value clinical quality, fairness, professionalism, and a supportive team environment.</p><p>Our offices are modern, busy, and well-supported by experienced surgical assistants, administrative staff, and referral coordinators.
