<p><strong><u>Subspecialty Critical Care Intensivist - Cardiac and Neurocritical Care</u></strong></p><p>AtlantiCare - Heart & Vascular Institute + Regional Medical Center</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Pomona & Atlantic City, NJ</p><p>AtlantiCare is building a subspecialty critical care program that integrates cardiac and neurocritical care under one unified, high-performance team.</p><p>We are recruiting intensivists in both specialties to join a collaborative, mission-driven, and academically focused environment. You'll practice at the top of your license in a system equipped with advanced mechanical circulatory support, world-class neurosurgical collaboration, and a brand-new neuroscience ICU currently under construction.</p><p>This is an opportunity to work with like-minded colleagues who prioritize protocolized care, evidence-based escalation, mutual respect, and innovation.</p><p><strong><u>What We Do</u></strong></p><p>Our subspecialty ICU team manages both cardiac and neurocritical care patients across two campuses:</p><ul><li>Mainland Campus (Pomona, NJ) - Home to our Heart & Vascular Institute, with ECMO, cardiac surgery, advanced heart failure care, and a robust Impella program</li><li>Atlantic City Campus - Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, featuring our neuroscience ICU and partnership with the Global Neurosciences Institute (GNI)</li></ul><p><strong><u>We Provide:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Comprehensive ECMO support (VA, VV, VPA)</li><li>Advanced mechanical circulatory devices: Impella CP, 5.5, RP Flex, and Protek Duo RVAD</li><li>Neurocritical care for stroke, aneurysms, status epilepticus, and neurosurgical ICU cases</li><li>A multidisciplinary ICU culture grounded in protocols, escalation discipline, and bedside leadership</li><li>Dedicated support for innovation, clinical trials, and research in shock and neurocritical care</li></ul><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Deliver high-quality critical care for complex cardiac and neurological patients</li><li>Manage advanced support devices like ECMO and Impella, and treat acute neuro emergencies</li><li>Collaborate with cardiology, neurosurgery, and ICU teams across both campuses</li><li>Participate in quality improvement and hospital committee initiatives</li><li>Stay current with critical care advancements through ongoing education</li><li>Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care</li><li>Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students</li><li>Contribute to peer review and uphold clinical standards</li></ul><p><strong><u>Who You'll Work With</u></strong></p><p>You'll join a tight-knit team of critical care physicians who cover cardiac, neuro, and high-acuity ICU care - with shared values:</p><ul><li>Prioritizing clinical excellence and team-based care</li><li>Teaching and mentorship</li><li>Equitable workload and protected downtime</li><li>Standardized protocols for cardiogenic shock, intracranial pressure (ICP), and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) escalation</li></ul><p><strong><u> Teaching & Research</u></strong></p><ul><li>Medical Arts Pavilion campus in Atlantic City with state-of-the-art simulation lab</li><li>Internal Medicine residents</li><li>Medical students, with a new regional medical school on the horizon</li><li>Cardiology fellowship</li><li>Ongoing clinical trials and research support</li><li>Regular simulation, case reviews, and CME content creation (VuMedi, podcast, and conferences)</li></ul><p><strong><u>Who We're Looking For</u></strong></p><p>We're hiring for both cardiac and neurocritical care intensivists.
