Job description
Oliver McCrum Wines & Spirits is seeking a passionate, self-motivated Sales Representative to manage and expand our presence in the South Bay Peninsula, Santa Cruz, and Monterey. We are a growing, Italian-focused importer representing a curated portfolio of family-owned wineries and artisan spirits producers across Italy. Our focus is on authenticity, regional identity, and long-term brand building. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to quality, hospitality, and thoughtful salesmanship.<br /><br />Key Responsibilities<br />Manage and grow sales across the South Bay Peninsula, Santa Cruz, and Monterey<br />Develop and maintain relationships with a mix of on/off-premise accounts<br />Prospect and open 3-5 new accounts per month aligned with our portfolio<br />Conduct 15-20 in person sales calls & tastings on a weekly basis<br />Organize and run in-store tastings, staff trainings, and educational events to boost awareness on a weekly basis<br />Maintain strong product knowledge across wine and spirits categories<br />Execute sales goals while representing the company professionally and authentically<br />Enter all tastings, customer communication, and orders into company CRM on a daily basis<br /><br />Qualifications<br />Prior wine and spirits sales experience preferred but not mandatory<br />Lives in the territory or able to relocate for the position, remote work is not a possibility for this role<br />Existing relationships within hospitality and retail community strongly preferred<br />Passion for Italian wine, spirits, and hospitality<br />Strong communication and organizational skills<br />Self-starter with the ability to work independently<br />Comfortable with portfolio presentations and account management<br />Ability to lift a box of wine<br />Must have a valid drivers license, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle to travel throughout the territory (expense stipend provided)<br /><br />Compensation<br />$62,000-$68,000/year with annual salary review and potential performance-based bonus at year end <br />Benefits package includes health insurance, flexible PTO, and 401K<br /><br />To apply, please send your resume and a cover letter explaining your connection to Italian wine and spirits and why this opportunity interests you.
