<b>Min </b><br>USD $34.34/Hr. <br><b>Max </b><br>USD $53.23/Hr. <br><b>Overview </b><br>Performs radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level for all age groups.<br><strong>To review Memorial's Benefits click here: Benefits - Memorial HR </strong><br><b>Qualifications </b><br><strong>Education </strong><br>Must be a graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology; must achieve ARRT registration and Illinois State License, must maintain educational requirements for licensure and registration. <br>Must maintain up-dated licensure and registration. <br>Completion of initial and/or annual competencies as specified by Department Manager to fulfill accrediting body requirements.<br><strong>Environmental Factors </strong><br>Occasional exposure to moderate environmental variations, above-normal noise levels, and/or unpleasant substances; daily exposure to hazardous or potentially injurious elements or conditions such as radiation and blood/ body fluids.<br><strong>Physical Demands </strong><br>The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.<br>Moderate to heavy physical exertion, standing 80% of the time; frequent bending and reaching (80 inches from the floor); occasional lifting and carrying of loads 5 to 75 pounds.<br>Must be able to assist average size person (150 pounds) to and from X-ray table, etc., in normal course of work; upon occasion must be able to support average person for approximately two minutes.<br><strong>Mental Demands </strong><br>While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work under stress and adapt to changing conditions.<br>Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.<br><b>Responsibilities </b><br><strong>Essential Functions and Job Duties </strong><br><ul><li>Performs routine radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures according to department policy and procedures. </li> </ul><ul><li>Updates patient examination history files. </li><li>Enters data into computer system. </li><li>Consults with supervisors, Radiologist, or ordering physician as necessary to provide appropriate patient care. </li><li>Understands all interventional procedures and assists physician in a variety of exams. </li><li>Insertion and removal of PICC lines and micro-puncture access. </li> </ul><br><ul><li>Follows appropriate safety precautions. </li> </ul><ul><li>Performs visual preventative safety inspections. </li><li>Reports dangerous department or equipment conditions appropriately. </li> </ul><br><ul><li>Assists M.D. with AAA Repair and Carotid Stent Device Management. </li> </ul><br><ul><li>Works with the interventional radiologist to develop protocol and perform procedures for line placement and pain management procedures. </li> </ul><br><ul><li>Maintains IDNS license and ARRT registration; remains current on developing trends in diagnostic radiology; participates in continuing education. </li> </ul><br><ul><li>Maintains clean, neat and orderly work area; maintains appropriate supply levels. </li> </ul><br><ul><li>Treats patients in professional and respectful manner. </li><ul><li>Demonstrates age-specific competency. </li><li>Explains procedures. </li> </ul> </ul><br><ul><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li> </ul>
