Responsible for promoting the efficient operations to provide effective nursing care of a designated department (s). Manages the department independently under the guidance of a Nurse Manager/Director. </p><ul><li>Assists with recruiting and training of new hires. </li><li>Prepares assigned reports for nurse managers. </li><li>Assists in the performance of the operational aspects of a designated unit(s) while providing mentoring and leadership support to the unit(s) staff. </li><li>Coordinates and directs the daily patient care operations of the unit in the absence of the Nurse Manager. Assesses staff competencies and makes patient care assignments. </li><li>Maintains clear communications with the Nurse Manager and House Supervisor(s) regarding unit needs and/or incidents. </li><li>Performs related duties as required. </li> </ul><ul><li>Required:<ul><li>Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, </li><li>Experience: One year of RN experience required. </li><li>Licensure/Certification:<ul><li>RN with current applicable state licensure / permit </li><li>BLS - Certification required upon hire for all nursing positions.  </li><li>ACLS - Required within 3 months of hire for the following departments: <ul><li>Emergency Dept & Medical Response Team RNs </li><li>ICU RN & Stepdown RNs </li><li>Med/Surg/Tele RNs </li><li>All Float Pool RNs,  </li><li>Same Day Surgery RNs, Operating Room RNs & PACU RNs </li><li>GI Lab RNs & Interventional Radiology RNs </li><li>Special Procedures RNs </li><li>L&D RNs </li><li>Cardiac Care RNs,  Cardiac Rehab RNs & Cardiac Cath Lab RNs </li> </ul> </li><li>CPI - Required within 3 months of hire for the following: <ul><li>Emergency Dept.
