Rooms are air conditioned and heated. </li><li>Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting. </li><li>Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions. </li><li>Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants. </li><li>PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies. </li> </ul> <p><b>Education/Experience </b> </p><p>Minimum Required: </p><ul><li>Bachelors of Science in Nursing </li><li>Three (3) years of nursing practice experience in a clinical setting </li> </ul><p>Preferred: </p><ul><li>Masters Degree in Nursing or related field </li><li>Previous teaching experience </li> </ul> <p><b><b>License/Certification </b> </b> </p><p>Minimum Required: </p><ul><li>Current New York State Registered Nurse License </li><li>CPR within 3 months of hire </li><li>Completion of Professional Certification within 3 years. </li> </ul><p>Preferred: </p><ul><li>Professional Nursing Certification in Professional Development </li><li>Professional Certification in another nursing specialty </li> </ul> The Clinical Nurse Educator within a Unit or area of oversite is responsible for collaborating with the unit coordinator, Nurse Managers and Directors of Nursing across sites to plan and implement specific orientation, in-service education, and staff development. Ensures competency of all staff within clinical area. Provides support in review and development of departmental policies and procedures.
