Job description
<p>Seeking an Application Support Engineer with experience supporting business-critical applications in production environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL and troubleshooting skills, the ability to analyze backend systems, and experience resolving application, data, and performance-related issues. </p>
<h5>Roles and Responsibilities </h5>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Provide application and production support for enterprise applications. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, data, and system issues. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Analyze and optimize SQL queries to identify root causes and improve performance. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Debug backend services, APIs, and application workflows. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Diagnose issues related to data integrity, application defects, and unexpected system behavior. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to implement solutions and prevent recurring issues. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Monitor application health and ensure timely resolution of incidents. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<h5>Required Qualifications </h5>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Experience supporting business-critical applications in production environments. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong hands-on SQL skills with experience writing and troubleshooting complex queries. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ability to investigate and resolve: </p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Data quality and integrity issues </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Application defects </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Query performance problems </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>System and application anomalies </p>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience reading, analyzing, and debugging backend code. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Programming experience in one or more of the following: </p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>C#/.NET (preferred) </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Java </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Python </p>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience working with APIs, web services, and backend integrations. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<h5>Preferred Qualifications </h5>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Experience with incident management and root-cause analysis. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and support tools. </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience working in Agile development and support environments. </p>
</li>
</ul>
