TypeScript Architect

<h5>Roles and Responsibilities </h5> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Design and evolve scalable, resilient, and high-performance architectures for distributed systems. </li> <li>Create architectural designs, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps. </li> <li>Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams. </li> <li>Break down complex initiatives into actionable tasks with clear acceptance criteria and accurate LOE estimates. </li> <li>Own end-to-end delivery of critical features and platform enhancements. </li> <li>Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices, coding standards, and code quality. </li> <li>Optimize DynamoDB (query performance, indexing, capacity planning, cost optimization). </li> <li>Improve Kafka performance through partitioning, throughput tuning, and monitoring. </li> <li>Implement resilience patterns including circuit breakers, retries, and fault tolerance. </li> <li>Drive TypeScript code quality, performance optimization, scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives. </li> <li>Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability, latency, and throughput. </li> </ul> <h5>Required Qualifications </h5> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. </li> <li>8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in architecture roles. </li> <li>Expert-level TypeScript/Node.js development experience. </li> <li>Strong AWS expertise (Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, API Gateway). </li> <li>Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture (Kafka). </li> <li>Experience with scalability, performance tuning, and resilience patterns. </li> <li>Proven track record of architecting and delivering complex systems. </li> <li>Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills. </li> </ul> <h5>Nice to Have </h5> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Experience with DataDog, Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch, or Grafana. </li> <li>Knowledge of SRE, DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation). </li> <li>Experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, and API Gateway patterns. </li> </ul>
