Position Details:<ul><li>Location: Kenmore - 133 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215</li><li>Department: Radiology - Mammography</li><li>Schedule: Part time, Every Other Saturday, 7:00am - 3:00pm</li></ul> As a Mammography Technologist I you will work under the guidance of a radiologist, perform mammography exams in accordance with MQSA, state regulations, and with health centers' established policies and procedures. Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Confirms appropriate clinical data, obtains patient history, and uses the lowest possible dose to provide high quality images for the interpreting radiologist</li><li>Provides for the emotional, physical well-being, and safety of the patient while maintaining strict standards of patient confidentiality</li><li>Communicate effectively with patients as well as other members of the health care team</li><li>Recognizes and effectively communicates equipment problems in a timely manner to the Department Supervisor</li><li>For every location worked, provides on-going CEU documentation to support licensure requirement</li><li>Continuing education and continuing experience requirements as defined by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) must be maintained</li><li>Willingness to cover in other location(s) when urgent need arises</li><li>Willingness to participate in the training of new mammographers</li></ul> You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit</li><li>Graduate of an accredited radiography program</li><li>Licensed in Radiography for 1+ years</li><li>Passed the ARRT exam in Mammography</li><li>Must possess mammography license in the state of Massachusetts</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)</li><li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty</li><li>Knowledge of Mammography equipment and MQSA and ACR regulations</li><li>Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment</li><li>General knowledge of healthcare delivery services</li><li>Proven ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Safety</li><li>Proven ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds</li><li>Proven ability to complete Mammography exams in a timely manner even under stressful condition</li></ul> Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
