The Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Supervisor is a Registered Nurse responsible for overseeing all quality and performance improvement activities within the home health agency. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and promotes continuous improvement in patient care and organizational performance. Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supervise and evaluate QAPI personnel, including performance management and development</li><li>Oversee the monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of programs to ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards</li><li>Lead the agency's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, ensuring processes are in place to measure and improve performance</li><li>Direct and coordinate quality initiatives using continuous quality improvement (CQI) methodologies</li><li>Develop improvement models and provide education/training to staff on performance improvement and team development in collaboration with key stakeholders</li><li>Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of safety, risk management, and infection control programs</li><li>Collaborate with clinical leadership to support staff orientation, competency validation, and ongoing education programs that meet regulatory requirements</li><li>Ensure all QAPI activities are documented, tracked, and reported appropriately</li><li>Schedule and facilitate monthly QAPI meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and storage of meeting minutes (e.g., SharePoint)</li><li>Oversee preparation of reports and presentations related to quality and performance metrics</li><li>Identify staff education and training needs based on data trends and performance outcomes</li><li>Monitor high-risk indicators, analyze root causes, and implement corrective Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)</li><li>Coordinate the review of complaints, incidents, appeals, and regulatory survey outcomes with home health staff</li><li>Provide input into employee performance evaluations as it relates to quality and compliance</li></ul> Additional InformationThis description is intended to summarize the primary duties and responsibilities of the role. Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing</li><li>Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nevada</li><li>Current CPR certification within 30 days of hire</li><li>Valid Nevada driver's license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance</li><li>5+ years of management experience in a healthcare setting</li><li>3+ years of Home Health/QAPI experience</li><li>3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance</li><li>Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems required</li><li>Comprehensive understanding of nursing practice, standards of care, and state and federal home health regulations, with emphasis on QAPI Program requirements</li></ul> Skills & Abilities:<ul><li>Solid observation, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and clearly communicate objectives</li><li>Proficiency with basic computer systems (e.g., Windows, Outlook, email platforms)</li><li>Adheres to professional standards and best practices in nursing</li><li>Demonstrated ability to track, analyze, and trend data</li></ul> Preferred Qualification:<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)</li></ul> Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
