Electrical Engineering Director

A leading multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to oversee its electrical engineering practice in Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineering leader to manage a talented team, lead complex building projects, and help shape the continued growth of the electrical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Serve as the senior technical authority for electrical design, documentation, and quality control.
• Mentor, develop, and provide leadership to engineers, EITs, and designers.
• Manage team workload, project assignments, schedules, and staffing needs.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform and oversee electrical calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client expectations.
• Support business development initiatives and help grow electrical engineering services.
• Maintain and improve engineering standards, processes, and quality assurance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience within the built environment.
• Proven experience leading electrical design teams and managing projects.
