Join our Crypto team to help integrate Kraken’s systems with an expanding universe of cryptocurrencies and blockchains. As a team member, your focus will be on enhancing our clients' crypto experience and introducing innovative ways to accelerate crypto adoption. You'll collaborate with backend Rust engineers, blockchain specialists, and UI developers to build comprehensive solutions.

Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust
• Security-first mindset in system design for robustness
• Ability to debug issues across OS, network, and application layers
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, RPC protocols, Kafka, and Event-Driven Systems for scalable solutions
• Effective collaboration with product teams to gather requirements
• End-to-end ownership of systems and libraries
• Mentorship skills and contribution to technical culture
• Knowledge of blockchain ecosystems like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cosmos, Solana, Substrate is a plus
• Proficiency with TypeScript (Node.js) is a plus
• Strong passion for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and resilient
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and innovate
• Open-mindedness and effective communication skills
